KATSEYE has postponed its concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis because member Megan Skiendiel is recovering from a concussion, a brain injury caused by a blow or sharp jolt to the head. The group's label made the decision, according to an Instagram Story from KATSEYE announcing the change.

The Chicago show had been scheduled for Nov. 5 at the United Center. The Minneapolis concert was set for Nov. 7 at Target Center. The news first appeared on the two venues' social media pages before the group addressed it itself.

KATSEYE said the rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible. The group also asked fans to hold onto their tickets until then. No new dates had been published at the time of reporting.

The Chicago and Minneapolis changes follow another cancellation. Earlier this week, the group postponed its Detroit concert because of illness, Billboard reported on Nov. 4. In a statement about that show, KATSEYE apologised to fans and said Skiendiel had fallen ill. Coverage of the Detroit cancellation described it as last-minute, and some fans expressed concern and frustration.

For ticket holders, the immediate effect is waiting. Anyone who bought seats for Chicago or Minneapolis will need the new dates before they can plan around them. A postponement also reaches well beyond the stage. Venue staff, sound and lighting crews, and local workers are often booked weeks ahead, and a change to a show date can shift their work and pay.

Concussions are taken seriously in every field, and the group has not described Skiendiel's condition beyond the injury itself. Fans who want updates should watch the group's official accounts and the Chicago and Minneapolis venues' pages, which posted the news first.
