Kilworth House Theatre Sets Oklahoma! and Kinky Boots for Summer 2027

Kilworth House Theatre, an open-air venue in Leicestershire, will stage two musicals in summer 2027: Oklahoma! and Kinky Boots. WhatsOnStage reported the season on 6 November 2026.

Open-air theatre means the performances take place outdoors, so the summer dates matter as much as the programme. Oklahoma! runs from 8 June to 11 July 2027. Kinky Boots follows from 27 July to 29 August.

Oklahoma! is one of the best-known shows in the musical theatre canon. It opened on Broadway in 1943 and was written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. It is set in the Oklahoma Territory before statehood, and its songs have been recorded and sung for more than 80 years.

Kinky Boots is a much newer work. Its book, meaning the story and dialogue, is by Harvey Fierstein, and its music is by Cyndi Lauper. The show is based on the 2005 British film of the same name, and it opened on Broadway in 2013.

Tickets for the 2027 season go on sale on 12 November 2026. Anyone wanting to see both productions will be able to book across the summer, with the two runs separated by about two weeks.
