Kings of Leon release their 10th studio album, O My Beloved, on Friday, Nov. 6, on the band's own label, Love Tap Records.

The record has 13 songs, and the band describes them as gentler and more reflective than much of its earlier work. It is also the first Kings of Leon album the band has produced itself, which means the four members, not an outside producer, shaped the sound from start to finish.

The album's story starts with an injury. In spring 2025, frontman Caleb Followill broke his foot while playing tag with his children. The band had to cancel planned tour dates in the U.S. and Europe. At the time, Billboard reported that Followill called it a "freak accident."

In a Billboard interview, Followill went further and called the injury "a midlife crisis kind of deal." He said that writing was a way to get through it. The first song he wrote afterwards was "My Whole World," which is now the album's lead single. He said writing it felt therapeutic.

The band recorded the album at its Neon Leon studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The studio sits across the street from a railway station, and the sound of trains rolling through can be heard on the recordings. Nobody had to add it in later; it is simply part of the room.

Fans have several ways to buy the record, all listed on the band's official website. Prices are in US dollars:

  • O My Beloved D2C Exclusive Vinyl: $29.98
  • O My Beloved Standard Edition Vinyl: $29.98
  • Standard CD Fan Pack (CD and hat): $42.99
  • Standard CD Fan Pack (T-shirt and CD): $47.99

"D2C" stands for direct-to-consumer, meaning the band sells the item itself rather than only through shops. The site also offers a pre-save, which lets listeners add the album to their streaming library before it comes out, so it appears automatically when the release day arrives.

For a band that had to step away from the stage, the album arrives as a return to the studio and a reminder that a tour can be paused while the songwriting carries on. For fans who had tickets to the cancelled 2025 dates, the record is one of the few things the band can offer in the meantime, and it is out now.
