Buena Vista Social Club will follow its Broadway run with a production in London in 2027. WhatsOnStage reported the confirmation on 6 November 2026.

The New York production gives its final Broadway performance on 17 January 2027. A transfer means a show moves from one theatre to another, here from New York to a London venue. The London theatre and opening dates have not been given.

The plans were first reported in June 2026. Producers Orin Wolf and Barbara Broccoli told Deadline that the show was eyeing a London transfer in 2027. The confirmation came around five months later.

The musical opened on Broadway in 2025. It has a book, meaning the script, by Marco Ramirez, and is directed by Saheem Ali. Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck created the choreography. The show has won five Tony Awards, the main prizes in American theatre.

The story follows Cuban singer Omara Portuondo, nicknamed the "Queen of Feeling", and a young record producer. Portuondo is one of the best-known voices on the original Buena Vista Social Club recordings, which brought Cuban music to a wide international audience in the late 1990s.

The Broadway cast album has won a Grammy. It was released digitally on 6 June 2025, ahead of that year's Tony Awards. Cast albums capture the songs from a production so audiences can listen at home.

For London theatregoers, the news adds a show with a Broadway record to the 2027 calendar. Ticket prices, the venue and the first preview date are still to be announced.
