Brenton Thwaites and Hannah John-Kamen Star in Horror Thriller Can I Come In?

Brenton Thwaites, Hannah John-Kamen and Henry Thomas are the stars of Can I Come In?, a horror thriller that its sales company has started selling at the American Film Market (AFM). Deadline reported the cast on 6 November 2026.
The AFM is a deal-making market for independent films. Buyers from cinemas, streaming services and television attend to decide which projects they will license, often before a movie is finished. Sales at the market are where a film's distribution around the world starts to take shape.
The film is produced by The Launch Company, which is also handling its sales. Sasha Manning is leading that sales effort at the market. The production was made through Launch North, the company's Ontario production arm, and was produced by Chris K. Daniels alongside Michael G. Nathanson.
Rouzbeh Heydari directed the film, which was shot in Toronto earlier this year. It then spent the summer and autumn in post-production, the stage where editing, sound and visual effects are completed. The screenplay is by Jess Mastro and Nick Ruggia.
The plot, as Deadline described it, follows Thwaites as Thomas, a carpenter whose wife Katherine vanishes from a parking lot after a night shift at the hospital where she works as a nurse. John-Kamen plays Katherine. Henry Thomas plays Tom's father, the town sheriff. Douglas Smith, Willa Holland and Anja Savcic complete the cast.
For The Launch Company, the film is one of four titles on its first production slate. The others are The Technique and You're Safe Now, plus a fourth feature the company has not yet announced. The slate gives the company a set of projects to take to buyers in the same market.
No release date or distributor was named in the announcement. A horror thriller with an established cast and a finished production is the kind of title that buyers at the AFM look at closely, because the deals made there set the path to cinemas and screens. What happens next depends on the buyers who step up, and on the deals that are signed in the coming weeks.
