Brenton Thwaites and Erin Moriarty join hacker thriller C.L.A.Y.

Brenton Thwaites and Erin Moriarty have joined the cast of C.L.A.Y., according to an exclusive report from Deadline published on 3 November 2026. The film begins shooting on location in London from November 2026.
C.L.A.Y. is a psychological cyber-thriller, meaning a suspense story built around computers, hacking and the workings of the mind. It follows a computer prodigy who is drawn into C.L.A.Y. (Clowns Laughing At You), an underground hacker collective. A collective is a loose group of people who work together outside any official organisation.
Simon Afram wrote, directed and produced the film. It marks his directorial debut, the first feature he has made as the director in charge on set. He is joined as producers by Georgette Turner, Edward Kahl, Reza Roohi and Adrian Topol, who also appears in the cast.
The wider cast includes Nicolas Cage, Michael Sheen, Jordi Molla, Emilio Sakraya, Adrian Topol and Agnez Mo. Deadline has reported that Cage and Sheen are starring, and the new casting adds Thwaites and Moriarty to that group.
An October report from Deadline named Clay Pictures Ltd as the production company behind the project. Production companies are the firms that organise and pay for a film's making, from hiring crew to booking locations.
Casting news often arrives as filming approaches, because a production needs its actors signed before the cameras roll. For this film, the London shoot is the next step in turning a script into a finished picture. Release plans have not been reported, so audiences will have to wait for a distributor to announce dates.
