Jamie Miller's "Babydoll" is No. 1 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart for a third consecutive week, on the chart dated Nov. 6. Billboard reported the run. The Official Singles Chart is the weekly ranking of the country's most popular songs, compiled by the Official Charts Company from sales and streams.

Miller, who was born in Cardiff and is 29, first reached the top on Oct. 23, when "Babydoll" displaced Taylor Swift's "Patient Zero." The song had only entered the U.K. Top 40 in September. It has since spread through social media, and the BBC describes it as a viral TikTok hit.

The run also makes Miller a record-book name for Wales. He is the first Welsh act to top the U.K. charts in 15 years, since Sian Evans sang on DJ Fresh's 2011 No. 1 "Louder." He is also the first Welsh male solo artist to do so in 41 years, since Shakin Stevens' "Merry Christmas Everyone" in 1985.

The song is also moving in the United States. "Babydoll" reached a new peak of No. 47 on the Billboard Hot 100, the American chart that ranks songs by sales, radio airplay and streaming. It climbed 25 places from the previous week.

Behind Miller on the U.K. chart, Tate McRae's "Housewife" is at No. 2, the highest placing of her career on that chart. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" has reached No. 5, its highest position ever on the U.K. chart, 43 years after its original release.

Miller thanked his fans after reaching the top, in a video shared by BBC News. The chart is updated each week, so the next result will show whether "Babydoll" stays on top.
