Paramount Network has ordered 13 new episodes of American Mayhem, a comedy show hosted by Larry the Cable Guy. The first episode airs Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. ET, according to Variety.

The episodes come from V10 Entertainment, the Los Angeles production company behind the show. Larry the Cable Guy, Maggie Houlehan, Carter Skeath, Rick De Oliveira, Josh Vodnoy and John Stevens are all executive producers. Each episode is built around a run of funny video clips, a format known as a clip show.

The Paramount Network run is a separate deal from a different version of the show. That version is syndicated, meaning it is sold station by station to local TV channels rather than to one network. It was announced in May with an initial order of 52 weekly episodes, and V10 Entertainment said the show would be distributed by CBS Media Ventures. The syndicated version has been cleared in markets including WLNY New York, KCAL Los Angeles and WCIU Chicago.

So there are now two versions of the same title in the works. Viewers in those cities may see the syndicated episodes on their local stations, while the Paramount Network episodes will air on the cable channel. The two runs do not share episodes, because the Paramount Network batch is described as new and original to that channel.

For a general viewer, the practical details are simple. Set a reminder for Friday, Nov. 13, at 9 p.m. Eastern. Check your local listings for the syndicated version, since local stations set their own schedules.
