Simon Pegg Joins Paul Giamatti in Horror Film Boutique

Simon Pegg has joined Paul Giamatti in Boutique, a horror film, Deadline reported on 6 November 2026.
Giamatti plays an American tourist who travels to an eerie English seaside town. The town inspired his favourite author, a reclusive writer played by Pegg. Once there, the tourist becomes caught up with a murderous secret society.
The film has also gained its first big deal-making partners. Manifest Pictures has taken on international sales rights to Boutique ahead of the American Film Market, the trade event where films are shown to buyers before they reach cinemas. Manifest takes over the job from XYZ, the company that had been selling the film. International sales means selling the film to buyers in countries outside the United States and Canada.
Domestic rights, which cover the United States and Canada, will be handled by UTA Independent Film Group. UTA is a talent agency with an independent film arm, and it will look for a distributor for those two markets.
Paul Giamatti and Dan Carey will produce the film through Touchy Feely Films. They are joined by Chris Dodds, Charlie Alderman and Greg Field for Prospect, and by James Harris and Mark Lane for Tea Shop Productions. Prospect is financing the picture. Jacob Jaffke is executive producer.
Jim Gavin will make his feature directing debut with Boutique. Gavin's move to the director's chair comes with a cast that already has two well-known names attached.
Why does a casting story carry deal news with it? Films often sell their foreign rights before they are finished, because buyers in other countries want to see what they are paying for. Setting a sales agent and a domestic representative early gives a film time to find its partners before the market opens. No date has been set for when audiences might see it.
