Sony has delayed its Pulse Elevate wireless speakers indefinitely, days before they were due to go on sale worldwide. The company has not named a new release date.

Sony posted the change on 6 November 2026, as an update to the original announcement on the PlayStation Blog. The update is titled "Update on Pulse Elevate wireless speakers launch." It says quality testing found a production issue with the speakers.

The speakers were scheduled to go on sale on 12 November. Sony priced them at £199.99 and $219.99. The company said it delayed the launch to make sure the product delivers the experience it intended for players.

Sony first revealed Pulse Elevate in September 2025. It described the speakers as its first wireless speakers for desktop gaming, meaning players who game at a desk rather than in a living room. The product was still on Sony's hardware list in June 2026, where the company said it would arrive later that year.

The update apologised for the delay. It thanked players for their patience and understanding, and said Sony looked forward to bringing the speakers to players soon. The new notice does not give a timeframe, so the word "soon" now sits alongside a launch with no date.

Pulse Elevate is not the only PlayStation accessory to move this year. In June, Sony said its FlexStrike wireless fight stick, a controller for fighting games, would launch at a later date because of unexpected production delays. That product has also been without a confirmed release date since then.

For buyers who had been waiting on the speakers, the practical answer is simple. There is no new date.
