Prince Harry did not take part in the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Town & Country reported that he made no public appearance at the memorial that day. It also reported that his last attendance at the service was in 2019.

The Cenotaph is the war memorial on Whitehall, the main street of government in central London. The annual service there is the National Service of Remembrance, also called Remembrance Sunday. It honors the men and women who died in military service. Members of the royal family were scheduled to gather for it, according to People. King Charles laid a wreath at the ceremony in 2025, the BBC reported.

The Daily Mirror reported that Harry was denied the chance to have a wreath laid on his behalf at the Cenotaph. That report is the Mirror's. Buckingham Palace has not been quoted on the matter.

Harry did mark the Remembrance period in other ways. Hello! reported that he wrote a heartfelt letter to one of his charities. People reported that he also sent a Remembrance weekend message to bereaved military families.

Harry served in the British Army for about ten years before leaving in 2015. He now lives in California. In August 2026 he visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland and Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia to pay respects to veterans and fallen soldiers, according to People. Those visits took place on American soil, far from the Whitehall service.

Remembrance Sunday falls on the second Sunday of November each year, close to Armistice Day on November 11, which marks the end of the First World War in 1918. Two minutes of silence are kept at 11 a.m. across Britain and in many Commonwealth countries. Harry's public tributes this month have been written and private, not staged at the Cenotaph.
