Phasmophobia Players Raise More Than US$230,000 for the American Heart Association

Players of Phasmophobia have raised more than US$230,000 for the American Heart Association. The game's developer, Kinetic Games, announced the final figure on 6 November 2026.
The money came from Ghost Hunts for Hearts, a charity drive that ran from 26 October to 2 November 2026. Phasmophobia is a horror game in which small teams of players investigate haunted locations, looking for spirits and collecting evidence. For the drive, streamers broadcast their own ghost hunts and investigations across the week, and viewers were invited to donate. Eurogamer reported the total.
More than 500 streamers signed up to take part. Kinetic Games had set a target of US$200,000, and the total passed it. Last year's event raised a little over US$100,000.
The drive was run with Heart Liive, the American Heart Association's streaming initiative, which works with content creators on fundraising. Eurogamer reported that Ghost Hunts for Hearts drew the biggest turnout yet for a creator fundraiser run by Heart Liive. The American Heart Association is a US charity that funds heart and stroke research and public health education.
Kinetic Games is an independent UK studio, founded in 2020. It scheduled the drive for the final week of Crimson Eye, a limited-time seasonal event in Phasmophobia. The studio's official news posts described the week as a series of streams in which the AHA and its partners took part in hunting ghosts and completing investigations.
Kinetic Games published its own article about the collaboration, which is also listed on the game's Steam news feed. The community's total now stands as the largest the drive has raised.
For the charity, the result is a clear number. For the streamers, it is a week of ghost hunts that also carried a fundraising goal. The developer has not said whether the drive will return next year.
