Maya Jama has a message for anyone who has read that she is leaving Love Island UK: "fake news." In an exclusive interview with Deadline published on 26 July 2026, the host said UK press outlets have run stories claiming she is quitting the show after every series for the last three years.

Jama, who took over from Laura Whitmore as Love Island host in October 2022 (ITV), said she never decides whether to return for the next series until the current one finishes. Love Island UK Season 13 wraps with its finale on Monday, 27 July 2026 on ITV2. U.S. viewers will be able to stream it on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ from Thursday, 30 July.

She told Deadline she will not know whether she continues as host until she finishes her current duties on Season 13. Her Love Island contract also covers Love Island All Stars, the winter edition that typically runs at the beginning of each year (ITV).

Jama also shut down speculation linking her to The Voice UK. Emma Willis, who has hosted the singing competition, was confirmed as one of the hosts of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing in May 2026, and is reportedly leaving The Voice UK after Season 14 ends later in 2026. The Sun reported on 18 July that Jama had held multiple meetings with ITV about potentially replacing Willis, and Radio Times the same day named her as tipped for the role. Jama's response was direct: "I'm not hosting that."
