Apple TV has released the full trailer for Ted Lasso Season 4, giving fans their first proper look at the show's new chapter ahead of its August 5 premiere. The trailer dropped in late July 2026, roughly a week before the season debuts worldwide on the streaming service. Deadline reported the release on July 28.

Season 4 picks up with Ted back in Richmond, this time coaching a second-division women's football team. That is a shift from the Premier League men's side at the centre of the first three seasons, and the trailer gives a first glimpse of the new squad and the familiar faces around them.

The premiere lands August 5, 2026, with one episode on Apple TV. New episodes follow every Wednesday through October 7. The night before Deadline's report, a red-carpet premiere was held in Los Angeles.

Jason Sudeikis returns as Ted and continues as executive producer alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, and Bill Wrubel. Bill Lawrence executive produces through his Doozer Productions, with the series produced in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television. Jack Burditt also serves as executive producer on Season 4 under a new overall deal with Apple TV — meaning he is contracted to develop projects for the platform beyond this show.

Several core cast members are back: Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift all return. The new season also adds fresh faces to the locker room. Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely join the cast for Season 4.

For fans, this is the first new Ted Lasso in over two years. The question of whether the show would return at all hung over the long gap between seasons — Ted Lasso was widely treated as having wrapped its story, and Sudeikis had spoken about the third season as a natural endpoint. Season 4 now confirms the continuation, with a new team, new players, and a new coaching challenge for the character.

The trailer sets the tone without giving away the arc: Ted is back, the whistle is in his hand, and Richmond's football story is not finished yet.
