Marvin Sapp, the 11-time Grammy-nominated contemporary gospel artist, has partnered with Roc Nation Distribution for his upcoming album Restoration, Billboard revealed on July 28, 2026. The deal makes Restoration the first full-length gospel release distributed under the Roc Nation banner, which is led by president Krystian Santini. Billboard

The partnership was brokered by TITLE 9 and Timeless Music Group's Stanley Brown, a producer and songwriter whose working relationship with Sapp stretches back to the 1999 album Nothing Else Matters, which reached No. 6 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart. The same teams previously helped deliver Roc Nation its first Grammy nomination in the gospel category, for the 2023 Stanley Brown-led song 'God Is Good.'

Restoration is Sapp's ninth live recording and 17th album overall. He crafted it alongside longtime music director Curtis Lindsey and songwriters including Stan Jones and Gus Lacy. The album does not yet have a firm release date but is expected to arrive in autumn 2026. It follows his 2025 Valentine's Day EP If I Were An R&B Singer.

The lead single, 'He's Not Finished,' arrives on August 21, 2026. Sapp co-wrote the track with Stan Jones, who was recently honoured at the 2026 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards for his contributions to Mississippi Mass Choir's 'Only One Way Home,' a song that topped Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart. 'He's Not Finished' will be the fourth gospel or inspirational single released through Roc Nation Distribution.

Sapp brings a deep chart history into the partnership. He has sent 14 records into the top 10 of Billboard's Gospel Albums chart, including five that reached No. 1. His 2008 crossover single 'Never Would Have Made It' climbed to No. 82 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, and the album that carried it, Thirsty, spent 86 weeks on the Billboard 200 — his longest run on that chart. Two of his albums have reached the Billboard 200's top 10: Here I Am peaked at No. 2 in 2010, and I Win reached No. 9 in 2012.
