Graeme Thomas King has been promoted to series regular for Season 2 of MGM+'s Robin Hood, Deadline reported on 29 July 2026. King recurred as Prince John in Season 1, and the upgrade means he will appear in substantially more episodes when the show returns.

Prince John is the cunning younger son of King Henry II — a character whose ambition and shifting loyalties intensify the kingdom's power struggle, according to Deadline's description. In the Robin Hood legend, Prince John is the usurper who seizes the throne in his brother Richard's absence. A bigger role for him signals more court intrigue ahead.

Season 2 will widen the world well beyond Sherwood and Nottingham. The new episodes reach into the courts of England, France, and Rome, expanding the scope of the series from a regional rebellion to a continent-spanning political drama. The show will be available to MGM+ subscribers in the U.S., UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Latin America, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg — a footprint that spans North America, Europe, and Latin America (Deadline).

The ensemble cast includes Jack Patten, Lauren McQueen, Sean Bean, Lydia Peckham, Steven Waddington, and Connie Nielsen. Lionsgate Television produces the series, with John Glenn serving as showrunner, Jonathan English as director, and Todd Lieberman of Hidden Pictures as executive producer.

For King, the promotion marks a step up in a career that already includes a series regular role on Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists and a recent appearance in Knuckles, the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff series on Paramount+.
