Taylor Sheridan's Bosque Ranch Productions and David Glasser's 101 Studios have acquired two feature scripts — Visalia and Capture the Flag — from producer Andrew Lauren, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Both projects are original concepts by Lauren, who is one of the producers behind The Brutalist, the film that earned 10 Oscar nominations and three wins. Sheridan was among the writers hired to work on drafts of the scripts before he became a major television name — a connection that now brings the projects under his own production banner. The features will be produced jointly by Bosque Ranch, 101 Studios, and Lauren himself.

Visalia follows a determined young Cuban woman who escapes to America, only to be pulled back to Cuba when a historic political shift demands her return. The project was previously titled Mojito. Capture the Flag is a different animal entirely: a NASA engineer races to build the first reusable spacecraft capable of travelling to the moon and back, a mission tested when a tech tycoon offers him the chance to make history.

Lauren's producing track record spans indie and prestige fare alike. His credits include The Squid and the Whale, The Spectacular Now, and Vox Lux. He is also executive producing The Statement, a dramedy directed by Tom McCarthy starring Paul Rudd, Tatiana Maslany, and Paul Giamatti. He is the son of fashion designer Ralph Lauren.

For Sheridan, the acquisition adds to a growing feature-film pipeline. Warner Bros. is set to release F.A.S.T., an action movie based on one of Sheridan's older scripts, in April 2027. The new scripts extend a partnership between Sheridan and 101 Studios that has already produced a string of television hits — and now reaches further into features.

No production timeline, cast, or release dates have been announced for either Visalia or Capture the Flag. The scripts are in the acquisition stage, meaning financing and filming schedules have not been made public.

What makes the deal notable is the long history embedded in it. Sheridan worked on these scripts as a hired hand before his name carried the weight it does now. Lauren held the material. The two paths converge years later, with Sheridan positioned not as a writer-for-hire but as a producer and partner shaping the projects' future.
