Kylie Minogue turned up as a surprise guest at two concerts on opposite ends of the pop spectrum within a single day, joining Madonna in Amsterdam and Nick Cave in Brighton.

Minogue first appeared during Madonna's "Club Confessions" set at WorldPride 2026 in Amsterdam, where the two previewed their forthcoming duet "Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix)" — a remix of a track from Madonna's Confessions II project, due for release on Friday, 7 August (Rolling Stone; Pitchfork).

Within the same 24-hour window, Minogue took the stage again — this time in Brighton, Nick Cave's hometown, where she joined Cave and the Bad Seeds midway through their set to perform "Where the Wild Roses Grow," the murder-ballad duet the two first recorded for Cave's 1995 album Murder Ballads (Billboard; Pitchfork).

The pairing is not as unlikely as it might look. Minogue and Cave have a collaboration stretching back three decades, and "Where the Wild Roses Grow" remains one of the most recognised tracks on Murder Ballads. On the Madonna side, Minogue and Madonna performed together during the Celebration Tour in 2024, covering Minogue's 2001 single "Can't Get You Out of My Head" (EW). That same year, they also shared a cover of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" (Pitchfork).

For fans, the back-to-back appearances meant catching Minogue in two radically different contexts: a Pride celebration with one of pop's biggest touring artists, and a hometown Bad Seeds gig with one of alternative rock's most enduring frontmen. The throughline is Minogue's own catalog, which has never fit neatly into a single lane — from late-1980s pop-chart dominance to the Murder Ballads duet and back to arena-scale dance music.

The Amsterdam preview also served as a live teaser for "Love Sensation (Afterhours Mix)," giving the WorldPride crowd an early hear of a track that officially arrives on streaming platforms and digital retailers on 7 August. Whether the remix picks up chart traction will depend on first-week streaming and download numbers — the metrics that determine placement on charts like the Billboard Hot 100, which tracks the most-consumed singles in the US across sales, streams and radio airplay.

No further surprise appearances have been announced. Cave's Brighton set and Madonna's WorldPride appearance were both one-night events.
