Il Divo are heading back to Australia. The classical crossover group will perform at the Carreras & Friends concert on 5 December 2026 at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane, marking their first live performance in the country since a four-city run in 2023 produced by TEG Dainty (Billboard).

The one-night-only stadium event, announced by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra on 15 June 2026, is led by the Spanish tenor José Carreras and features Robbie Williams, the Corrs, Ronan Keating, Natalie Imbruglia, Darren Hayes, and Katherine Jenkins. Echo Pacific Entertainment is the promoter. The Queensland Symphony Orchestra's media release described the show as a stadium spectacular exclusive to the Gabba (QSO).

Il Divo's connection to Carreras runs deep. Carreras's work with Luciano Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo as the Three Tenors was an early inspiration for the group, which Simon Cowell assembled and mentored in 2003. The quartet has sold more than 30 million albums, notched two No. 1 records on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, and became the first classical crossover act to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the chart that ranks the highest-selling albums in the U.S. — with Ancora in 2006. Past collaborators include Celine Dion, Toni Braxton, and Michael Ball. The group has performed for former U.S. presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, as well as the late Queen Elizabeth II (Billboard).

The current lineup is Urs Bühler (Swiss tenor), Sébastien Izambard (French pop artist), David Miller (American tenor), and Steven LaBrie, a Mexican-American baritone who formally joined in late 2023 following the death of founding member Carlos Marín. Marín, the group's Spanish baritone, died unexpectedly in 2021 at age 53. Il Divo marked his memory with a video reflection published on their official Instagram account (Il Divo).

LaBrie stepped into the role created by Marín, and the group has since regrouped around new material. Il Divo are now working on a follow-up to XX, their 2024 album, with plans to release new music and then tour, including collaborations (Billboard).

For fans, the Brisbane date offers a rare convergence: a group whose origins trace back to the Three Tenors phenomenon sharing a bill with the man who helped spark the idea in the first place, alongside a roster of pop and classical-crossover acts that spans decades.
