Barry Manilow postponed his Lexington, Kentucky, concert on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, just as doors at Rupp Arena were set to open, leaving ticketholders waiting on a new date that has not yet been announced.

The singer broke the news on social media, writing: "Due to unforeseen circumstances tonight's show in Lexington has been rescheduled" (Rolling Stone). No exact reason was given. Rupp Arena stated separately that all previously purchased tickets will be honoured once a rescheduled date is confirmed, and the venue's Facebook page cited illness as the cause (Rolling Stone).

This is the second time the Lexington stop has been pushed back. Manilow previously rescheduled a 9 March performance while recovering from lung cancer surgery. In December 2025, he announced he would undergo an operation to remove a cancerous spot on his lung, and in January 2026 he disclosed a stage-one diagnosis. By February, he told fans he needed more time to recover before returning to the stage, postponing his Las Vegas residency for that month and March as well as the Northwest U.S. leg of his farewell tour set for April and May (Rolling Stone).

Manilow is now cancer-free, according to Rolling Stone. After returning to the road, he released "What a Time," his first new album in nearly 15 years. He was scheduled to perform in Cincinnati on Wednesday, 6 August — the night after the cancelled Lexington date (Rolling Stone).

The 2026 arena tour, billed as a farewell run, was originally meant to kick off in January before the cancer treatment forced a cascade of reschedulings. Manilow has also planned to celebrate local music educators at stops across the U.S. on the tour (barrymanilow.com).
