Winter State Entertainment Develops 'Brady vs. Manning' Documentary From Gary Myers Bestseller

Winter State Entertainment is developing a feature documentary titled Brady vs. Manning, based on Gary Myers' 2015 New York Times best-selling book of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will chronicle the on-field rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, two quarterbacks whose careers overlapped for nearly two decades and produced some of the most-watched games in American sport. Hamid Torabpour and Camille Torabpour are attached to direct, with the documentary set to include exclusive interviews, archival footage, and detailed storytelling.
Myers wrote the book after decades covering both quarterbacks as a sports journalist. He has called the Brady–Manning matchup the greatest individual rivalry in the 106-year history of the NFL. The two faced each other 17 times — 14 more meetings than John Elway had against Dan Marino, another celebrated quarterback pairing of an earlier era.
The numbers behind the rivalry carry their own weight. Brady won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and a seventh with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before retiring in 2023. Manning won Super Bowl XLI with the Indianapolis Colts and Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos, and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2021. Manning was named the league's Most Valuable Player five times; Brady three times.
The producing team reflects a mix of sports and film backgrounds. Credits include Gary Myers, Chris Cooney, Sam Sokolow, Alec Sokolow, Nic Levis, Willie Roaf, Angela Roaf, Dr. Mark Smith, Nick Hagen, and Leroy Butler. Roaf is a former NFL offensive lineman and Hall of Famer; Butler is a former Green Bay Packers safety and Hall of Famer as well.
Myers' book, Brady vs. Manning: The Untold Story of the Rivalry That Transformed the NFL, was published in hardcover by Crown on September 20, 2016, with a paperback edition from Three Rivers Press. It reached the New York Times best-seller list the previous year in its initial hardcover run.
No release date, distributor, or streaming platform has been announced for the documentary. The project is currently in development.
