Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Is Becoming a Real Restaurant at American Dream in 2027

The fictional pizzeria at the centre of the Five Nights at Freddy's horror franchise is becoming a real, permanent restaurant. Variety reported on 9 August 2026 that the film and gaming property will open a physical Freddy Fazbear's Pizza location inside the American Dream mega-complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in 2027. The project is a collaboration between the Five Nights at Freddy's film team, the American Dream retail and entertainment complex, and ScottGames — the company of series creator Scott Cawthon, which holds the intellectual property rights. Atreyu Alcantar, American Dream's creative manager for licensing and location-based entertainment, is serving as creative lead on the attraction. Variety

Visitors will get a quick-service dining experience with more on the menu than pizza. Two animatronic stage shows are planned: a Main Stage featuring Freddy and the Fazbear Band, and a Pirate Cove hosting Foxy the Pirate. Beyond eating and watching the shows, fans will be able to play arcade games and take part in survival-horror multiplayer game experiences themed around the franchise. Variety

For anyone unfamiliar with the property: Five Nights at Freddy's began as a video game series created by Scott Cawthon, in which players survive nights as a security guard menaced by haunted animatronic characters. The franchise has since expanded into novels, graphic novels, and a feature film.
