The following day, Saturday, she shared a series of photos and short video clips from the making of Petal on her Instagram grid, captioned 'petal forever.' The album's reach extends well beyond the U.S. Petal opened at No. 1 on the U.K. Albums Chart on the listing published Friday, Aug. 7, giving Grande her sixth consecutive U.K. No. 1 album — a streak that began a decade ago with a 2016 release. After the Eternal Sunshine Tour concludes, Grande intends to take 'a step back from visibility,' according to a statement from her representative shared with People. That break includes withdrawing from a previously announced starring role in a revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sunday in the Park With George, which had been expected to open next summer in London.
