Ariana Grande's 'petal' Debuts at No. 1, Places All 12 Tracks on the Hot 100

Ariana Grande's eighth studio album petal opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units — the measure that converts streams and sales into a single album-consumption total — earned in its first week in the US, according to Luminate data reported by Billboard on 10 August 2026. Released 31 July via Republic Records, petal is Grande's seventh Billboard 200 No. 1 and her first since Eternal Sunshine in 2024.

All 12 tracks from the album entered the Billboard Hot 100 dated 15 August, with every song landing inside the top 40 — a first for Grande in a single chart week. The lead single "Hate That I Made You Love Me," which spent a week at No. 1 after debuting in June, rebounded from No. 8 to No. 2. The title track "Petal" debuted at No. 4, becoming her 24th career top 10 on the Hot 100. The remaining tracks filled ranks from No. 21 to No. 39: "Kiss Me" (21), "Stay" (22), "Oh Well" (23), "Like I Do" (24), "Big Feelings" (27), "Freak" (32), "Never Get Over Me" (33), "Bad Thing (Bunny Hop)" (36), "Warning Signs (Interlude)" (38), and "Nowhere, Nobody" (39).

Eleven of the 12 entries were new debuts, pushing Grande's career Hot 100 total from 99 to 110. She became the 23rd act in the chart's history to reach 100 entries and just the fourth woman to do so, joining Taylor Swift (277), Nicki Minaj (149), and Beyoncé (107). Of her 110 entries, 64 have reached the top 40, 24 have made the top 10, and 10 have hit No. 1 — the most recent being "Hate That I Made You Love Me," her tenth chart-topper, which also marked her eighth No. 1 debut, tying Swift for the most among women. Drake leads all acts in career No. 1 debuts.

Grande also jumped 11 spots to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100, leading the ranking for an 18th total week and the first time since April 2025. The Artist 100, which gauges overall artist activity across album sales, track consumption, and radio airplay, placed her back on top on the strength of the album's opening frame.

The petal release also marked milestones behind the scenes. Grande topped the Billboard Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts — both career firsts for her. Her production credits trace back to "Yes, And?," on which she was credited as a producer alongside Max Martin and ILYA, her first Hot 100 entry as a credited producer.

For an artist whose chart history already spans a decade and change, the petal opening week added several new benchmarks at once: a seventh chart-topping album, a tenth No. 1 single, membership in the 100-entry club, and a full-album sweep of the Hot 100's top 40 — all in a single chart cycle.
