Camp Rock 3: The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato Return to Camp Rock
The Jonas Brothers are heading back to camp. Disney Channel and Disney+ are reviving the Camp Rock franchise with a new movie, Camp Rock 3, premiering on Disney Channel on 13 August 2026 and streaming on Disney+ the following day (Variety).
Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas reprise their roles as the band Connect 3. This time, the band loses its opening act just before a major reunion tour and returns to Camp Rock to find a replacement, according to the film's official trailer released via Disney's press channels around 23 July 2026 (Disney Press Center). The plot mirrors a real-life reunion of sorts: the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato had a Camp Rock reunion on the opening night of the band's Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour in August 2025 (The Hollywood Reporter).
Lovato, who starred as Mitchie Torres in the original films and is credited as an executive producer on the new movie (The Hollywood Reporter), returns as Mitchie in a surprise cameo (The Hollywood Reporter). Maria Canals-Barrera also reprises her role as Connie, Mitchie's mother (The Hollywood Reporter).
The two original Camp Rock films, released in 2008 and 2010, rank among the Top 10 Disney Channel Original Movies of all time (The Hollywood Reporter). For a generation that grew up watching them, the franchise carries the weight of a shared coming-of-age soundtrack.
Newcomers lead the fresh storyline. Liamani Segura, from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, and Malachi Barton, from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, star in Camp Rock 3. The Camp Rock 3 soundtrack drops on Friday, 14 August 2026, the same day the film arrives on Disney+. Disney is also rolling the film into its broader promotional machinery.
