MobLand Season 2 Trailer Drops as Paramount+ Sets September Premiere
Paramount+ has released the official Season 2 trailer for its crime drama MobLand, with new episodes set to launch globally on the platform on 18 September 2026. The ten-episode season will drop new instalments each Friday through 20 November, according to Deadline.
Directed by Guy Ritchie, MobLand stars Tom Hardy as Harry, Pierce Brosnan as Conrad, and Helen Mirren as Maeve. The series follows two warring London crime families — the Harrigans and the Stevensons — as they battle for control of North London's largest criminal empire.
Behind the scenes, the road to Season 2 was not entirely smooth. Tom Hardy initially left the production over friction with producers and showrunner Jez Butterworth, but returned after the issues were settled, Deadline reported. The show is a Paramount+ commission produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
For viewers who have not yet caught up, Paramount+ is making Season 1 available free on its Free Content Hub — a no-cost, ad-supported section of the platform — starting 18 August. From 31 August, Season 1 will also stream on Pluto TV and on Paramount+ channels carried through Amazon, Apple TV and Roku devices, broadening access to the show ahead of the new season's premiere.
Paramount had already teased the new season in July, when it released a first teaser trailer and first-look images alongside the premiere announcement, Deadline noted. The full official trailer released this week gives the clearest look yet at where the story heads next.
MobLand's performance has been a talking point for the platform. Paramount's own press page describes the series as the #2 original series on Paramount+ for its second season — a ranking the platform uses internally, though it has not published the underlying viewing figures.
For fans, the free rollout of Season 1 is the practical takeaway. Anyone without a Paramount+ subscription has a two-week window to watch the first season at no cost before the new episodes arrive — a common strategy in streaming, where making an earlier season freely available is designed to pull in viewers who then follow the show into a paid tier.
The 18 September premiere puts MobLand back on screens just over a year after Season 1 first debuted, maintaining a steady cadence for a show that Ritchie, Hardy, Mirren and Brosnan anchor with considerable star wattage.
