MobLand Gets a Third Season — and Tom Hardy Is Staying
Paramount+ has renewed MobLand for a third season, and the headline on the announcement left little room for doubt: "THE HARRIGANS AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE." For a show that had been swirling in rumour for months, the renewal settles a question that fans had been tracking since spring. Back in May, People magazine reported — citing sources via Deadline and Variety — that Hardy would not return after season two. By late June, Deadline was telling a different story: sources said the issues had been resolved and Hardy would stay on alongside Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, clearing the path for renewal. The friction was real, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hardy clashed with producers during season two, including executive producer Jez Butterworth and others at 101 Studios, the production company behind the series. A source told THR that Hardy refused to come out of his trailer for hours at a time during production, keeping the cast waiting. None of that appears to have derailed the show. MobLand films across the U.K. and carries a deep ensemble: Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren lead as Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, the crime-family patriarch and matriarch, with Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, Mandeep Dhillon, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Janet McTeer, Jordi Mollà and Toby Jones filling out the supporting cast.(The Hollywood Reporter)
Season two premiered on Friday, 18 September 2025, rolling out a new episode each Friday through its finale on 20 November. Paramount+ has not yet announced a premiere date or episode count for season three.
