KATSEYE Drop 'Hootie Frutti' Music Video With Brazilian Dance Flair as WILD Era Rolls On

KATSEYE have released the music video for 'Hootie Frutti', a single from their third EP, WILD, which arrived on 14 August 2026 via Universal Music Group. The video, directed by Alfred Marroquin, leans into a Brazilian dance theme and went live on the group's official YouTube channel as well as the HYBE LABELS channel (Billboard).
'Hootie Frutti' is the third single pulled from WILD, following 'PINKY UP' and 'Animal' — the latter co-written by Ed Sheeran. WILD is the follow-up to KATSEYE's 2025 EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which earned a Grammy nomination. The track is also available on Spotify as part of the 2026 release.
The video arrives with the group operating at reduced promotional capacity. Member Sophia Laforteza is on hiatus from promo activities to focus on her mental health, though she does appear in the 'Hootie Frutti' video. Fellow member Manon Bannerman is also currently on hiatus from the group. Both details were confirmed by Billboard on 14 August.
Despite the absences, the WILD era is pushing forward on multiple fronts. The KATSEYE concert film KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS has been playing in 1,700 cinemas across more than 60 countries. The group's WILDWORLD TOUR opens on 1 September at Dublin's 3Arena (Billboard).
For fans, the video offers a glimpse of the full group on screen even as live appearances remain in flux — and with a tour starting in under three weeks, the timeline is tight. The Brazilian dance direction gives 'Hootie Frutti' a distinct visual identity from the EP's earlier singles, which each carried their own stylistic treatments.
KATSEYE formed through a joint audition process between HYBE, the Korean entertainment company behind BTS, and Geffen Records, the Universal Music Group label. WILD marks their third EP in a catalog that has grown quickly since their debut.
