KATSEYE link with Pedro Sampaio for Brazilian remix of Hootie Frutti
KATSEYE have released a new version of “Hootie Frutti” made with Brazilian singer, producer and DJ Pedro Sampaio. The track arrived on Oct. 2.
Its full title is “Hootie Frutti (feat. Mc Gw & Clementaum) [PEDRO SAMPAIO Remix]”, according to the upload on the group’s @katseyeworld YouTube channel. YouTube It brings two more Brazilian artists into the song.
Mc Gw is a funk singer and songwriter. Clementaum is an underground queer femme DJ. Both appear throughout the remix and take the reins in the outro, Billboard reported.
The original “Hootie Frutti” came out on Aug. 14. It opens with an intro in Portuguese delivered by Daniela. The song peaked at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100, the US singles chart. It is KATSEYE’s sixth consecutive top 40 single.
The song sits on WILD, the group’s third EP, a release longer than a single but shorter than an album. The five-track set came out on Aug. 14 via HYBE and Geffen Records. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the US albums chart, with 170,000 first-week units, album units that combine sales and streams. That was the biggest first-week total for a female group in 18 years.
Two other WILD tracks also charted. “Animal” peaked at No. 24 on the Hot 100. “Pink Up” peaked at No. 28 and earned two nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, for Best K-Pop and Best Choreography.
The remix arrived at 1 p.m. on Oct. 2, Chosun Biz reported. KATSEYE published an official visualiser on YouTube. The rollout also includes an accompanying dance video, Consequence reported.
The release lands in a busy run of live and television dates. KATSEYE wrapped the nine-date European leg of the Wildworld Tour on Sept. 17 at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena. The US leg starts at Miami’s Kaseya Center on Oct. 13. The tour is set to close with two dates at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on Nov. 27 and 28.
The group made their Saturday Night Live debut as musical guests on Sept. 26, with host Jalen Brunson. Next up is the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 18. KATSEYE will headline alongside Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae and Megan Moroney.
