Netflix Sets 'The Diplomat' Season 4 for October, Drops Teaser and First-Look Images

Netflix has marked 15 October 2026 as the premiere date for Season 4 of The Diplomat, accompanied by a teaser trailer and first-look images released on 17 August 2026 (Variety).

Keri Russell returns as Kate Wyler, the career diplomat turned ambassador, and Rufus Sewell is back as her husband Hal Wyler. The Season 4 cast also includes Ato Essandoh, Ali Ahn, Nana Mensah, Rory Kinnear, Bradley Whitford and Allison Janney (Variety).

Season 3 left off on a pointed cliffhanger: Kate discovered that Hal and President Grace had been plotting to steal a dangerous Russian nuclear torpedo. Where that discovery leads — and what it costs the characters caught up in it — is the thread the new season picks up.

The show comes from creator Debora Cahn, who executive produces alongside Russell, Janice Williams, Alex Graves, Peter Noah and Eli Attie.
