The Diplomat Season 4 trailer sets up October return
Netflix has released the first full-length trailer for The Diplomat Season 4, locking in an eight-episode return on Oct. 15, according to Variety.
Keri Russell stars as Kate Wyler, the United States diplomat serving as ambassador to the UK, the senior American envoy in London. Allison Janney plays President Grace Penn, the US head of state. Rufus Sewell plays Vice-President Hal Wyler, Kate's husband and Penn's deputy.
The new season centres on fallout from covert action by Penn and Hal Wyler against the Russian and British governments. Kate must manage the consequences. The marriage is part of the mission.
Bradley Whitford appears as Todd. The wider cast includes Ato Essandoh, Ali Ahn, Nana Mensah and Rory Kinnear alongside Russell, Janney and Sewell.
The series is a Netflix political drama, meaning screen fiction centred on government and diplomacy.
