Leslie Grossman Carries Flossie Into Power: Origins as Starz Prequel Wraps Season One
Leslie Grossman will reprise her role as Flossie in Power: Origins, the Starz prequel series that picks up after the events of Power Book III: Raising Kanan, according to Deadline.
Grossman plays Florence "Flossie" Siegel, described as Manhattan's most prolific madam — a character who lives a polished, luxurious lifestyle on the surface. She first joined the Power universe as a recurring cast member in the fifth and final season of Raising Kanan, which wrapped its run earlier in August 2026.
The Raising Kanan series finale set up Flossie's continued relevance in the franchise. In that episode, Flossie denied Raquel (Patina Miller) a lifeline as the walls closed in on the queenpin, and later met up with Jukebox (Hailey Kilgore) on the advice of her late father Marvin (London Brown), who left a note and a suitcase of money telling Jukebox the only person she should trust is Flossie.
Power: Origins is the fourth spinoff in the Power universe, following Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force. The series delves into the origin story of fan-favourite characters Ghost, Tommy, and Kanan as ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise in New York City. Spence Moore stars as a young Ghost, Charlie Mann as a young Tommy, and MeKai Curtis reprises his role as Kanan.
The show was created by Courtney A. Kemp and Sascha Penn, with Penn serving as showrunner and executive producer. The broader Power universe is executive produced by Kemp through End of Episode, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson through G-Unit Film and Television, Mark Canton through Canton Entertainment, and Chris Selak, Kevin Fox, and Pete Chatmon. Lionsgate Television produces the series for Starz.
Production on Season 1 of Power: Origins, which filmed in New York and New Jersey, has already been completed. Starz released the first teaser trailer and first-look photos for the season in July 2026.
Grossman's casting in the Power franchise carries a personal thread: Penn, the showrunner of Raising Kanan and co-creator of Origins, is engaged to Grossman. Her casting as Flossie came during their engagement, as reported by People in July 2026.
Asjha Cooper, who played Tiana — a call girl working for Flossie — in Raising Kanan, has also joined Power: Origins as a series regular. The franchise's expansion does not stop there: Starz recently greenlit a fifth spinoff, Power: Legacy, set in the present timeline following the events of Power Book IV: Force.
Grossman will next be seen in the 13th season of Ryan Murphy's anthology series American Horror Story. Her breakout television role was as Mary Cherry, the spoiled rich girl on the WB's Popular.
