Netflix Renews America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for Season 4

Netflix has handed a fourth-season renewal to America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, keeping the cameras on one of the most recognisable squads in sport. The docuseries, which follows the women who make the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders roster, will return to film auditions, training camp, and the NFL season for its next instalment. Deadline

Greg Whiteley, an Emmy-winning director, continues as series director. He has guided the show since its first season, building it into a fixture of Netflix's unscripted lineup. Behind the scenes, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders senior director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell — the two women who run auditions and decide who makes the squad — both return for Season 4.

The renewal lands on the back of a strong third season. Season 3, which premiered 16 June on Netflix, spent two weeks in the streamer's Global Top 10 — the publicly available weekly chart Netflix publishes showing its most-watched titles worldwide — and cracked the Top 10 in 22 countries. Production comes from One Potato Productions and Boardwalk Pictures in association with Campfire Studios. Boardwalk Pictures has a track record in premium documentary series, while One Potato is Whiteley's own production company.

For fans, a fourth season means another full cycle of the audition grind: hundreds of hopefuls arrive at open calls, and only a fraction survive training camp to earn a place on the 36-woman squad. The show's appeal has always been that tight, high-stakes funnel — each season narrows a vast field down to a final roster, and the cameras capture every cut along the way.
