Yung Miami is preparing her debut solo album for release later this year, building on a single that has already outperformed anything she charted as one half of City Girls.

The as-yet-untitled album — tentatively tagged "YM1" on her social media — is being recorded in Atlanta and Miami with a production and writing team that includes J. White, Cheeze Beatz and Go Grizzly, according to Billboard. The Miami rapper, born Caresha Brownlee, described the record as "really really good" in an Instagram reel posted in June 2025, pegging its release to summer 2026.

The album campaign rests on "Spend Dat," a single released in April 2025 on Yung Miami/Uptown/Republic Records. The track reached No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the flagship US singles chart — making it her highest-charting entry, solo or group. That peak surpasses anything she notched with City Girls, the duo she formed with JT in 2017 and which split in 2024 after a seven-year run.

"Spend Dat" also spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Rap Airplay chart across July and August 2025. According to Luminate, the data firm that powers Billboard's charts, the track had earned over 83.8 million official on-demand U.S. streams through 30 July 2025. It climbed as high as No. 7 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The single's chart journey was steady rather than sudden. It debuted at No. 66 on the Hot 100 dated 6 June 2025, then jumped 25–19 on the chart dated 11 July 2025 as radio airplay surged to 21.7 million audience impressions, Billboard reported. It is her third solo Hot 100 hit, following "Rap Freaks," which reached No. 81, and earlier 2025 singles "Tea Time" and "News Flash," both released in February.

Yung Miami's label home is part of a broader industry story. Uptown Records — the historic New York label originally founded by Andre Harrell in 1986 — relaunched under Universal Music Group, signing Yung Miami alongside G Herbo and Trap Dickey, Billboard reported in June 2025. The copyright line on the "Spend Dat" music video, published on her YouTube channel in April 2026, reads "© 2026 Yung Miami LLC, under exclusive license to Uptown Records, a division of UMG."

Beyond the recorded-music side, Yung Miami signed with WME for worldwide representation in all areas, Billboard confirmed in July 2025. She has also publicly asked Drake to appear on a "Spend Dat" remix, though no remix has been released.

For a rapper stepping out of a established duo, the numbers carry practical weight. A No. 17 Hot 100 peak and 83.8 million streams translate into real per-stream royalties and radio performance payouts — the kind of revenue that funds a solo career after a group dissolution. The debut album's reception, whenever it arrives, will determine whether "Spend Dat" was a launch pad or a high-water mark.
