Fox's 'Doc' Adds Four Recurring Cast Members for Season 3
Fox's medical drama Doc has added Barrett Carnahan, Raffa Virago, Cecilia Lee, and Kolton Stewart to its Season 3 recurring cast, according to Deadline (Deadline).
All four will play new interns at the hospital where the show is set. Carnahan, whose previous credits include For All Mankind and Cobra Kai, takes on Graham Barker — entitled, charming, and bent on proving he is more than the nepo baby of a wealthy hospital donor. Virago, seen in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy and Davey and Jonesie's Locker, plays Nikki De Silva, an overachiever described as wound tight and quick-witted. Lee, also a Star Trek: Starfleet Academy alum with a turn in Fear Street: Prom Queen, is Ruth Chen — empathetic, eager, and the kind of intern who cheers others on but gets frazzled when the pressure builds. Stewart, from Heated Rivalry and My Life with the Walter Boys, rounds out the group as Kyle Ferguson, the youngest intern: brilliant, homeschooled, and guileless.
Doc follows Dr Amy Larsen, played by Molly Parker, a hard-charging physician rebuilding her life after a car crash erases eight years of memory. The series is inspired by a true story and based on an Italian format — meaning the original concept was developed for Italian television before Fox adapted it for a US audience (Deadline).
The returning cast for Season 3 includes Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, and Blair Underwood, who joins as a series regular — a designation meaning he appears in every episode of the season rather than dropping in for a guest arc. Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg serve as co-showrunners, the joint heads of the writers' room and production. Executive producers on the season include Erwin Stoff, Russell Fine, John Weber, and Frank Siracusa, with Parker also credited as a producer.
Season 2 closed with a changing of the guard at Westside hospital. In the finale episode, titled "Next," the character Joan chose an unlikely successor, crowned a Chief Resident, and delivered final wisdom to the next generation on her last day (Fox). The four new interns arriving in Season 3 arrive into that vacuum.
For viewers, the additions signal a fresh cohort of characters entering the hospital's hierarchy — each carrying a distinct personality that positions them to clash, bond, or buckle under the pressure of the show's medical world. The cast expansion also deepens the bench of a series that has now run long enough to cycle through a generation of its own.
