Katseye Drop Out of Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival After Member's Sprained Ankle
Katseye will not perform at Olivia Rodrigo's inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival this Saturday, August 29, after member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during tour rehearsal the day before the announcement. The group shared the news through a statement on Weverse, its fan-platform home, saying it "breaks our hearts" to drop out and that they were "so incredibly sorry" to miss the date (Variety).
Doctors advised Skiendiel to stay off the ankle to let it heal, according to Rolling Stone. The sprain occurred during rehearsal on August 26. The festival's official Instagram account posted a schedule update confirming that Megan is recovering and that Katseye would no longer perform that weekend.
Daisy Chain Fields is Rodrigo's first curated festival, held at Great Park Live in Irvine, California. The all-women lineup spans Stevie Nicks, Bikini Kill, Mitski, Doechii, Chappell Roan, and the Breeders, among others, with 14 performances split across two stages and no overlapping sets, as Rodrigo revealed on August 11 (Consequence). Tickets sold out in 30 minutes, Rolling Stone reported.
The festival is structured as a benefit: 100% of net proceeds go to women- and girls-focused nonprofits, including Baby2Baby, Planned Parenthood, and the Center for Reproductive Rights. Katseye's own withdrawal statement noted that detail, describing Daisy Chain Fields as a benefit festival with all net proceeds directed to charitable causes (Weverse).
For fans holding tickets, the rest of the bill remains intact. The official event page still lists Katseye in the lineup alongside acts including Garbage, Die Spitz, Eli, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, and Rodrigo herself (Great Park Live). No replacement act for Katseye has been announced.
The withdrawal lands just days before doors open, leaving the six-member group — formed through the reality series "The Debut: Dream Academy," a joint project between HYBE and Geffen Records — sidelined from a festival whose cause and curation align closely with the audience they have built since debuting in 2024. No further dates are affected, and no timeline for Skiendiel's return to the stage has been shared.
