KATSEYE Down to Three Members at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival After Megan's Ankle Injury
Three members of KATSEYE — Yoonchae, Lara and Megan — appeared on stage at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival in Irvine, California, on Saturday, Aug. 29, though the group's set came with a visible absence: Megan, who had sprained her ankle days earlier, was performing injured, and Daniela was not on stage at all. The appearance capped a week of lineup uncertainty for the six-member group, which has already been operating without two of its members on hiatus.
KATSEYE announced on Thursday, Aug. 27, that Megan had sprained her ankle during rehearsal and would no longer perform at the festival, according to Billboard. The group shared the news through an official "2026 Schedule Update" on Instagram, stating that Megan was recovering and the group would not be able to perform at Daisy Chain Fields that weekend. E! News reported that the injury occurred the day before the announcement. Megan herself said on Friday that her doctors had advised her to stay off the ankle and let it heal so she would be ready for the group's upcoming tour.
The group's active lineup consists of Yoonchae, Lara, Megan and Daniela. Members Manon and Sophia are on hiatus — Manon focusing on her wellness, Sophia on her mental health, Billboard reported. With Megan injured and Daniela not appearing on stage Saturday, only Yoonchae and Lara were available for full performance duty, though Megan did join them on stage.
The Desert Sun reported that KATSEYE was "down a third member" when it pulled out of the festival, suggesting the group had initially planned to withdraw entirely before the partial appearance materialized. The Billboard report, published Aug. 29, confirms that Yoonchae, Lara and Megan did take the stage ahead of Devon Again's set.
Daisy Chain Fields is the inaugural charity music festival curated by Olivia Rodrigo, held in Irvine on Aug. 29. The all-women lineup includes Bikini Kill, Mitski, Doechii, Chappell Roan, Stevie Nicks and Karen O, according to Rolling Stone. Rodrigo announced on Friday that ticket sales for the festival raised $10 million for 10 nonprofit organisations supporting women, including Baby2Baby, which provides children in poverty with diapers, clothing and other necessities.
KATSEYE recently earned its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — the chart that ranks the most-consumed albums in the US each week, combining sales and streaming — with the EP WILD. The group's next priority is keeping Megan healthy enough for tour, a goal her doctors made clear when they told her to rest.
