Tim McGraw Takes a Tumble Onstage in Cincinnati — and Finishes the Song

Tim McGraw fell onstage during his Pawn Shop Guitar Tour stop at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center on Thursday, August 27, after his cowboy boot caught in a crevice mid-performance. Fan footage of the moment was posted to TikTok by the account @mrssheenaw, and it spread quickly across social media. McGraw addressed the tumble the next day on Instagram, writing: "Cincinnati, you started our weekend off on the right foot even if I couldn't stay on mine." (Billboard)

The Cincinnati show had already gotten off to a rocky start. McGraw arrived approximately 40 minutes late to the Riverbend venue, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer (Cincinnati.com) and Page Six (Page Six). Neither outlet reported a reason for the delay.

The Pawn Shop Guitar Tour is a 33-date run that launched on July 9, with support from The Chicks, Lady A, 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne on select nights. The tour is scheduled to wrap on September 29 in West Palm Beach, Florida. In October, McGraw is set to begin a five-night residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. (Billboard)
