Yaga will arrive in the United States on Friday, October 23, exclusively on AMC+.

The contemporary mystery thriller reimagines the myth of Baba Yaga. It will open with two episodes, then release a new episode each Friday before closing with a two-episode finale on Friday, November 27, as reported by Deadline.

A sneak peek trailer has been released to accompany the date announcement.

The story starts with a disappearance. Noah Reid plays Rapp, a private investigator who comes to the small coastal town of Whittock to find Henry Park. Hudson Williams plays Henry, a young heir to a powerful local fishery.

Clark Backo plays Carson, a local detective. Carrie-Anne Moss plays Katherine, a university professor. The wider ensemble includes Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle and Hiro Kanagawa, alongside Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris and Sam Krochmal.

The series is based on Kat Sandler's stage play, first developed for the theatre. Sandler serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer, meaning she leads both the scripts and day-to-day creative decisions across the season.

David Frazee and Rachel Talalay are co-directors. Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller and Moss are executive producers, and Charles Cooper is producer. It is a Crave Original series produced by Blink49 Studios and Front Street Pictures in association with Bell Media, and distributed internationally by Sphere Abacus. AMC Networks' AMC Global Media acquired it exclusively for AMC+ in the US.

The format is an eight-episode, half-hour drama, according to AMC. That short-episode structure is built for serialised viewing, with one mystery unfolding across weekly instalments.

Before streaming, Yaga will take the festival route. It will world premiere in the Primetime lineup at the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, September 17. The festival lists it as a Canadian 2026 title with a 56-minute runtime, according to TIFF.

US fans get their next look soon after. The series will hold a panel with exclusive content at New York Comic Con on Friday, October 9. A first look had already been shown at Comic-Con International in San Diego in July, with sneak peeks and a panel for attendees.

For viewers, this means a clear run. Two episodes on October 23. One each Friday after that. The full story by late November.
