Colombian artist ARIA VEGA has her first Billboard No. 1 with "Chévere", her collaboration with Ryan Castro. The song climbs from No. 6 to No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart dated 19 September, Billboard's weekly ranking of the most-played tracks on Latin radio stations in the United States. Billboard

It drew 6.6 million in audience impressions during the 4-10 September tracking week in the US, a gain of 23%, according to Luminate. Audience impressions are the industry's estimate of how many times listeners heard a song on radio, and Luminate supplies that airplay data to Billboard. The increase was enough to move "Chévere" to the top in its debut run on the chart.

It replaces Jay Wheeler's "De Lejitos", which steps down after two weeks at No. 1. That is fast. "Chévere" is Vega's first appearance on a Billboard chart, which makes it her first Billboard No. 1 as well.

For Castro, the move brings a second No. 1 on Latin Airplay. The single is released on AWOO/Warner Latina, the Latin division of the major label group Warner. It also reaches No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Rhythm Airplay chart, which tracks plays on Latin rhythmic radio formats.

The song is spreading beyond radio. "Chévere" has reached new peaks of No. 21 on Hot Latin Songs and No. 12 on Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, Billboard's multi-measure charts that combine streaming, digital sales and airplay. The title translates to "cool" in English.

Billboard reports that "Chévere" is the only 2026 Latin Airplay chart-topper so far by two Colombian artists. Both Vega and Castro are Colombian, and the pairing links an established radio presence with a new voice.

For listeners following Vega, the US radio lead follows earlier recognition at home and from Billboard. Vega, known by the moniker "La Nena de Quilla", was named Billboard's Latin Up-And-Comer Artist of the Month for July 2026. A premium remix of "Chévere" with Castro had already become her first No. 1 on the Billboard Colombia Hot 100.
