Sony says fix under way after Helldivers 2 vanishes from UK Steam
Helldivers 2 is no longer available to buy on Steam in the United Kingdom.
Horizon Forbidden West has also disappeared from the PC storefront in the country. Both games show as unavailable for purchase for UK shoppers.
Sony Interactive Entertainment said it is aware of an issue affecting the availability of select titles on Steam in the UK. The publisher said it is working with Valve, the company behind Steam, to address the problem. It apologised for the inconvenience.

For players, the immediate effect is narrow. Games affected by the disappearance remain playable for people who already have them in their libraries. Only new purchases in the UK are blocked. That distinction matters for anyone checking a library and fearing a game has been taken away.
Helldivers 2 was released on PS5 and PC in 2024. It sold 12 million copies across PC and PS5 in its first 12 weeks. The game later released on Xbox Series X and Series S, extending its reach beyond Sony hardware and PC.
The current UK problem is separate from a wider removal in 2024. In May that year, Sony announced plans to require Helldivers 2 players on Steam to connect to a PlayStation Network account, the online account used for PlayStation multiplayer and store purchases. The announcement sparked backlash among PC players.
Recent Steam reviews for the game fell to "Overwhelmingly Negative" during the dispute, according to IGN. Helldivers 2 was then pulled from sale in 177 countries where the account requirement could not be met.
Sony reversed the proposed account-linking requirement days later, as reported by Game Developer. That earlier removal was made by Sony, not by Steam. A Valve representative said at the time the game was "not available for specific regions as decided by the publisher", according to Eurogamer.
Publishers control where their games are sold on Steam. Valve operates the store, but regional availability is set by the rights holder. Sony has not yet said when the UK listings will return, only that a fix is being worked on with Valve.
