Bottega Veneta, the Italian luxury fashion house, has named actress Song Hye Kyo as a brand ambassador. The role means she will represent the house in public appearances and campaigns. The house confirmed the appointment WWD.

She joins a small ambassador group that includes Jacob Elordi, Julianne Moore, Vicky Krieps and Rie Miyazawa. That list mixes film actors from the United States, Europe and Asia. It gives Song a visible place in the house’s cast of faces.

Song said she was delighted to join Bottega Veneta. The house said her presence across fashion, art and culture fits with its philosophy, which is centred on craft and creativity as core values Maeil Business Newspaper.

The house is known for its woven-leather technique and a restrained look with no visible logos. The weave, made by folding thin strips of leather together, has become its signature without needing a name on the outside. That quiet approach sets it apart from logo-led luxury.

The appointment comes under creative director Louise Trotter, the designer who leads the house’s collections. Trotter is due to present her spring 2027 collection for Bottega Veneta on Sept. 26 during Milan Fashion Week. Milan is one of the four main fashion weeks, alongside New York, London and Paris.

What makes this stand out is the timing. A new ambassador just before a runway show often means front-row photographs and campaign images in quick succession. For fans, this means they are likely to see Song in Bottega Veneta looks very soon, on the runway circuit and beyond.
