Malo links with stylist George Cortina for 12-piece cashmere capsule

Malo, the Florence-based cashmere maker founded in 1972, has codesigned a 12-piece capsule collection, a small limited-edition range, with George Cortina, the New York-based stylist and fashion editor. WWD reported the collaboration on 21 September 2026. The range is due to debut at the end of September.
The collection is made from cashmere, the soft goat fibre spun into knitwear, or knitted clothing. It spans 12 styles. The list covers long-sleeve polo shirts, crewnecks with a double collar, turtlenecks, ski sweaters, argyle knits, half-zips, bombers, a shawl cardigan and a knitted blazer.
The designs revisit Malo's archive fits, the shapes the house has kept on file from past seasons. They return in new colours. The palette includes grass green, lavender, burgundy and melon.
The blazer has a name. It is called George. It is shaped in knit after a Savile Row jacket from Cortina's personal wardrobe, a reference to the tailored menswear made on the London street.
Sale is tight. The collection will be sold exclusively through two stockists: Malo's online store and the revamped flagship on Via della Spiga in Milan. That means no wholesale, no selling through other shops that resell. Prices run from $1,070 to $3,150, according to the report.
The project sits inside a wider reset at the house. Malo is led by chief executive officer Michelle Kessler-Sanders. Glickman Capital, the owner led by David Glickman, acquired the business in 2025. Malo is also due to present its spring 2027 main line during Milan Fashion Week, the twice-yearly showcase in the city, with a presentation scheduled for Thursday.
Malo's own channels point to the same launch. Its Collections page lists a George Cortina Capsule section, and its homepage promotes a MALO X GEORGE CORTINA autumn-winter range. Its official Facebook channel had announced the collection as launching on 21 September in a post dated 18 September.
For shoppers, this means choice is narrow and time is short. Twelve styles. Two places to buy. One fibre throughout.
