13 Going On 30 musical names Toronto company with Lucie Jones back as Jenna
Lucie Jones will lead the North American premiere of 13 Going On 30 - The Musical in Toronto this winter.
The casting was announced on 21 September 2026. Jones will reprise the role of Jenna Rink, the part she originated for the show's world premiere in Manchester. That performance earned her a WhatsOnStage Award nomination, according to WhatsOnStage.
She started the role. Now she takes it across the Atlantic.
Joining Jones in Toronto are Dom Simpson as Matt Flamhaff, Grace Mouat as Lucy Wyman and Caleb Roberts as Richard. The company also includes Andrew Berlin as Kyle Grandy, Morgan Scott as Wayne, Katharine Pearson as Bev and Iván Fernández González as Darius Mark.
Simpson succeeds David Hunter in the role of Matt. Hunter played the part for the UK staging, which is set to be preserved on a UK cast recording.
The musical is based on the 2004 film by Revolution Studios. The film starred Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo as childhood friends reconnecting as adults after a birthday wish fast-forwards Jenna from 13 to 30.
The stage version has a book by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa. Songs are by Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner. It is directed by Andy Fickman with choreography by Jennifer Weber.
It is produced by ROYO, Revolution Studios, Wendy Federman and Phil Kenny. Garner, who led the original film, is an executive producer.
Toronto will host the first staging in North America. The run plays the Princess of Wales Theatre as part of the Mirvish 2026/27 season, according to Mirvish.
Performances run from 1 December 2026 to 24 January as a strictly limited engagement. That is an eight-week window in a 2,000-seat commercial house. Mirvish bills the show as a totally grown-up new musical comedy.
For fans, this means a familiar screen story rebuilt for the stage. The Manchester premiere tested the material. Toronto is its next step, with much of that original company travelling with it.
