Daredevil: Born Again to End With Season 3 on Disney+

Charlie Cox's time as Daredevil has an end date. Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again will finish with Season 3 on Disney+.

The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news, with details reported by Variety on 21 September 2026. The report frames Season 3 as the planned closing chapter, not a sudden cut.

Season 3 has already wrapped filming. It was in post-production, the final stage of editing, sound and visual effects, at the time of the report. It is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2027.

There is a change behind the camera too. Dario Scardapane, the co-creator and showrunner, meaning the writer in charge of day-to-day creative decisions, has exited the series.

The ending closes a long run across two homes. The original Daredevil ran for three seasons on Netflix from 2015 to 2018. Disney+ revived the story as Daredevil: Born Again in 2025, with the new run premiering on 4 March 2025, according to Disney.

The revival brought back familiar faces. Vincent D'Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk, the organised-crime boss turned political power, alongside Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Wilson Bethel as Bullseye.

Season 1 reset the table sharply. Foggy Nelson dies early on, while Bullseye survives a fall that looked fatal. Ayelet Zurer, who first played Vanessa Fisk in 2015, returned as Wilson Fisk's wife, and Vanessa later dies.

Season 2 widened the circle. Fan favourite Krysten Ritter returned as Jessica Jones in a supporting role. Mike Colter made a cameo as Luke Cage in the Season 2 finale.

That finale left Fisk exposed. He ends up alone on a beach, stripped of his title and still mourning Vanessa, according to Variety. The same reporting pointed to Season 3 involving Luke Cage and the wider Defenders group.

For viewers, this means one last story with a known endpoint. A final season gives the writers' room a chance to finish character arcs. The crew gets to land the show, rather than leave it unfinished.
