Krill Announce First Album in 10 Years, Secret Language

Krill will release Secret Language on 13 November, their first LP, a full-length album, in a decade.
The band announced the record for release on Exploding in Sound, with nine tracks and a new single out now, Pitchfork reported on 22 September.
That single is "Dominate." It arrives with a video directed by Heavenly Tedious. It follows "Commemorative Plaque," the July single that ended a 10-year gap in new music.
Secret Language lists nine songs: "Porch," "Dominate," "Commemorative Plaque," "Driving," "Snails," "Hawaii," "Karst Fenster," "Secret Language" and "Theme From Krill 2."
Seth Engel produced and engineered the album. It features contributions from Macie Stewart, Maria Jacobson and Will Greene. The reunited line-up centres on singer-bassist Jonah Furman alongside longtime drummer Ian Becker and guitarist Andrew Clinkman.
Krill formed in Boston in 2010. They released three albums during their original five-year run before splitting in 2015, after A Distant Fist Unclenching and a companion EP, a shorter extended-play record. In 2022, the band reissued their debut album Alam No Hris for its 10th anniversary.
For fans, this means the return took a practical route. The group recently reunited in Chicago after Ovlov invited them to open a Chicago show. That one-off date led back to the studio.
Live dates are set around the release. Krill have scheduled headline shows in Chicago, New York and Philadelphia, alongside a performance at Some Fest in Maine.
