British actor Asa Butterfield has signed with Linden Entertainment, Variety reported on 2 November 2026. Representation means the company will handle the business side of his career, including finding and negotiating roles, much as a talent agency or management firm does.

Butterfield is best known for playing Otis Milburn in Sex Education, the comedy made for Netflix, a subscription streaming service where viewers pay a monthly fee to watch. The signing adds him to a Linden client list that already includes Vin Diesel, Jennifer Garner, Eva Longoria, Amy Adams, Eiza González, Brendan Fraser, Forest Whitaker and Connor Storrie.

He started young. He made his screen debut at age 8 in ITV's After Thomas. Two years later he starred in Mark Herman's The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, which earned him a Most Promising Newcomer nomination at the British Independent Film Awards.

His recent and upcoming work spans film, television and the stage. He starred in Oscar Boyson's Our Hero, Balthazar. He will play Beatles manager Brian Epstein in the BBC drama Hamburg Days. He will also appear in John Carroll's comedy Happy, alongside Kyra Sedgwick, Mark Strong and Wyatt Russell.

His stage debut came in Barney Norris' play Second Best at Riverside Studios in London. The play is based on Second Best, the best-selling novel by David Foenkinos.

Forbes named him to its 2024 30 Under 30 Europe list in the Entertainment category.

Linden Entertainment was founded in 2020 by Nicole King and Stacy O'Neil. The company is now led by King and O'Neil alongside JoAnne Colonna and Riva Marker.

For Butterfield, the move puts his next roles in the hands of a new team. For viewers who first saw him as a child, it is also a reminder of how long he has been working on screen.
