Teri Hatcher to lead The Devil Wears Prada as third-year cast named

Teri Hatcher will play Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada The Musical from 20 October 2026.
Producers have named the full third-year company for the show at the Dominion Theatre. Hatcher takes over the role from Vanessa Williams, London Theatre reported earlier this month.
Debbie Kurup will bridge the gap. She plays Miranda full-time from 21 September to 20 October, then continues as first standby, an off-stage cover for the lead role. The handover is tight. One night ends one run. The next starts another.
Jenna Bonner steps up to play Andy Sachs. She moves up from first cover, the main understudy position. Taila Halford continues as Emily.
There are two more principal changes. Matt Henry joins as Nigel. Dominic Andersen continues as Christian. Dean Makowski-Clayton, who previously played Irv Ravitz, takes on the role of Nate.
The announcement follows a busy week for the production. It played its 800th performance on 23 September and has sold more than 1.3 million tickets at the Dominion, according to WhatsOnStage.
The show opened in the West End in December 2024. It started life at Theatre Royal Plymouth, where it ran from 6 July to 17 August 2024 before a transfer, meaning the production moved from its original venue into a commercial West End house.
It is based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel and the 2006 film. The musical has music by Elton John, direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.
For fans, this means a new centre to the show. Miranda drives the story. A new Andy opposite her changes the dynamic too.
