Sebadoh to reissue Harmacy in expanded 30th anniversary edition

Sebadoh will put their 1996 album Harmacy back in print worldwide on 20 November, as a 30th anniversary edition with 16 extra tracks.
Sub Pop will release the set as Harmacy (30th Anniversary Expanded Edition) on double vinyl, double CD and digital, as reported by Pitchfork. The double-disc format simply means the music is spread across two records or two CDs. A listing on Bandcamp gives the release date as 20 November 2026.
The audio was retouched and remastered by JJ Golden at Golden Mastering. Remastering is a technical clean-up and balancing pass that prepares older recordings for current pressing plants and streaming services. Sub Pop says the new edition returns the album to international availability after a period out of print. Out of print means copies were no longer being manufactured or widely distributed.
Five of the 16 added tracks are previously unreleased takes. That is the detail collectors watch most closely. It means five recordings have not circulated in official form before.
The extras include an alternate version of “Beauty of the Ride.” An alternate version is a different recording or mix of a released song. They also include an acoustic demo of “Open Ended,” a stripped-back early run-through recorded with minimal production, and the studio B-side “Real Deal.” A B-side is a song first issued alongside a single rather than on the main album. The package adds live recordings made for the BBC.
The original Harmacy came out on 20 August 1996. Sub Pop lists it under catalogue number SP370 on its catalogue page. The label marked the 30-year point in an August post on its official Facebook page, noting continued requests for a repress. On its page for the new set, Sub Pop describes Harmacy as Sebadoh’s “seminal 1996 indie-rock album.”
For fans, this means a choice. Longtime listeners who kept an old CD or LP can replace a worn copy. Newer listeners who found the album through playlists or second-hand bins can buy a new pressing with the extras in one place. The digital edition carries the same expanded tracklist for those who do not use a record player or CD player.
