Nayanthara and Kavin's 'Hi' arrives on Zee 5 Global

Nayanthara and Kavin's film Hi has left cinemas for the living room. It premiered on Zee 5 Global on 25 September 2026, after a run in cinemas in late August.

Deadline reported the streaming launch as an exclusive, with the film made available across all Zee 5 territories, including the United States and Canada. The gap was less than a month. ZEE5 lists the same date, 25 September 2026, as the film's streaming release.

The film is directed by Vishnu Edavan. It is presented as an unconventional but warm-hearted romance, offering a fresh look at modern relationships.

ZEE5 lists it under Romance and Drama. The audio language is Tamil, so viewers outside Tamil-speaking audiences will watch with subtitles where offered.

Alongside the two leads, the cast includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Prabhu and K. Bhagyaraj. The film was Bhagyaraj's final on-screen performance, which gives this release added weight for long-time Tamil cinema viewers.

It comes from Zee Studios, Seven Screen Studio and Rowdy Pictures. Rowdy Pictures is run by Nayanthara with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, so the star is also on the producing side here.

For fans, this means more than just the film. Zee 5 released a companion event show, Hi Nayan, on 15 August 2026, built around candid chats, fun games and exclusive moments with Nayanthara and the team behind Hi. The show is listed with Tamil audio and features Archana alongside Nayanthara, Kavin, Prabhu and Edavan.

In short, the cinema window has closed and the streaming window is open. Hi is now playing for Zee 5 audiences around the world.
